Darin Powell is Global IT Digital Leader, Transformation Strategy and Experimentation at Bayer Crop Science. In his current role, he is responsible for conceptualizing, visualizing and executing innovative digital strategies, tools and roadmaps for Bayer Crop Science Product Supply Digital Transformation need. Among other initiatives, he has created, and is executing a cross-functional tool to bring measurability in Digital Maturity, allowing for visibility into the ability of the enterprise to transform in executable and sustainable ways. Throughout the 30 years of Darin Powell’s career, digital transformation and innovation has been a driving force in his work. Acting on this passion, he has conceived of and implemented innovations in every single position he has held in multiple industries. Creating and promoting innovations can be quite different propositions, from small entrepreneurial engagements to major corporations such as Boeing and Bayer. Transitioning from innovator to innovationist requires understanding, strategy, influence and communication.
