"I fell into computer validation by accident after college and was captivated by the variety of systems, applications and opportunities the field brought – I’ve been doing it ever since! My first exposure to MES was at a biotech facility in the Northeast in the early 2000s, where it was being used primarily for data entry and subsequent process monitoring. In my recent past, I worked hands-on to validate an MES as it transformed from a static data repository, to a fully integrated manufacturing tool. Now I find myself exploring the role of MES in Cell and Gene Therapy manufacturing – a very different experience from the batch bio-tech processes with which I am familiar. When I’m not at work, I cycle, try not to embarrass myself on the golf course and help my kids to love soccer as much as I do."
