Matt has spent the last 11 years with Nitto Denko Avecia, a CMO serving the oligonucleotide market. He holds a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from WPI and has played a key role in Avecia’s production capacity expansion over this time. From co-designing Avecia’s custom oligonucleotide synthesizer to most recently serving as lead process engineer in the build of a multi product GMP facility, Matt has gained expertise in process equipment design, process automation and controls, and managing complex projects. This has led to managing the initial implementation of an MES system at Avecia. Engineers at Avecia engage in a wide variety of topics and disciplines, keeping every day exciting and full of new challenges. Matt loves exploring and evaluating new technology and has the privilege of working with many skilled and dedicated coworkers, whose collaboration makes every project more impactful and enjoyable.
